Our mission

Nobody should face fraud alone, or in a language they don’t speak.

The Consumer Resource Center (한인시민센터) is a community-based organization serving Korean Americans and their neighbors. We believe every person deserves to understand the scams targeting them and to get help in the language they are most comfortable with.

We teach scam prevention, help fraud victims find the right government agency to report to, and advocate for consumers in our community.

A community-based organization, not a government agency

We are advocates and educators. We do not investigate crimes or provide legal advice. Instead, we make sure you reach the officials who can act, and that you understand every step.

Program leadership

This program is led by Next Generation Advocates (NGA), which builds community advocacy programs led by and for the next generation.

What you can expect from us

  1. Free, bilingual guidance

Our guides, reporting directory, and help navigating official forms are available without charge in English and Korean.

  2. Official reporting links only

We send people to government reporting sites and explain what each agency can and cannot do.

  3. Clear limits

We are not the government, a law firm, or an investigative agency. We explain that before asking anyone to share their story.
